Our Mission
Youth Leading Youth: Empowering the Next Generation of Chicago Leaders
The Chicago Youth Advancement Initiative (CYAI) is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering Chicago’s youth through hands on educational programs. We partner with youth centers and Chicago public schools to deliver interactive experiences in computer science, financial literacy, and robotics, giving students the chance to learn, create, and grow through real-world applications.
As a registered public charity, CYAI is built by youth, for youth. Our programs focus on real-world learning and meaningful connections. We work alongside students from neighborhoods across Chicago, bringing together youth from across Chicago to learn and grow with one another. Together, we’re creating a space where kids feel part of a shared community and where learning extends beyond the classroom.
